Shift Engineer – Staycity Group (London, England, United Kingdom)

We’re looking for a Shift Engineer to join Wilde, an expanding aparthotel operator across Europe. This role is based in London.

Salary: £13.50 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the Chief Engineer to support planned maintenance checks and take a hands‑on approach to reactive maintenance.
  • Deliver daily, weekly and monthly safety checks and ensure everything is in working order in apartments and public areas.
  • Take part in preventive and curative maintenance of premises and equipment while contributing to internal environmental protection measures.
  • Assist with managing stocks, equipment and supplies for the department.
  • Ensure compliance with current safety procedures and control the condition of building, technical equipment and all safety and alarm systems.
  • Identify and report potential hazards and reduce them immediately.
  • Assist with complaints, resolving issues in conjunction with the Chief Engineer and General Manager.
  • Represent Wilde as the Brand Ambassador with enthusiasm, energy and flair.
  • Be driven, motivated, innovative and respectful, fostering a culture of inclusion.
  • Engage with community and local charity events.
Qualifications
  • Previous relevant experience preferred. Knowledge of country/property specific maintenance, safety and health regulations in a similar environment or property/hotel is desirable but not essential.
