Premises Assistant

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in UB3 is seeking a Premises Assistant to support the smooth running of the school site from January. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, practical and takes pride in keeping learning environments safe, clean and well-maintained.

• Role: Premises Assistant
• Start Date: First week of January 2026
• Location: UB3, West London
• Contract: Full time - temporary position
• Salary: 24,000 - 36,000 (depending on experience)

• Carry out routine maintenance, repairs and basic DIY across the school site
• Support daily site operations, including setting up rooms and moving equipment
• Ensure classrooms, corridors and shared spaces are clean, safe and ready for use
• Monitor and report any health and safety concerns in line with school procedures
• Unlock and lock the premises when required and support site security
• Work collaboratively with school staff, external contractors and leadership

• Experience in a maintenance, caretaking or facilities role
• Practical skills in basic repairs, DIY, site upkeep or cleaning
• Ability to manage time well and prioritise tasks independently
• Strong communication skills and a flexible, proactive approach
