Influence Client Partner

This role focuses on a large FMCG drinks brand. The client partner works within the PR & Influence department, delivering integrated solutions that combine influence, PR, advertising, and consulting to address complex business challenges.

The Role

As a Client Partner for Influence, you are the senior‑most steward of Ogilvy’s largest and most strategic client relationships. Your primary focus is to move beyond service delivery and become deeply embedded as a trusted strategic partner to the client’s business and its C‑suite leadership. You will be responsible for the long‑term health and growth of the client relationship, orchestrating Ogilvy’s full suite of capabilities – from PR and Influence to advertising and consulting – to solve their most complex business challenges.

You will take a helicopter view of the account, identifying future opportunities and risks while holding ultimate accountability for client satisfaction, commercial success, and the delivery of transformative, award‑winning work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, maintain, and deepen relationships with senior‑most client stakeholders, establishing yourself as an indispensable strategic advisor on brand, reputation, and influence.
  • Drive the overarching strategic plan for the client, identifying and converting significant opportunities for organic growth that deliver value to the client and increase agency revenue.
  • Act as the central point of integration, seamlessly connecting Influence with PR, creative, strategy, and other agency crafts to deliver holistic, multi‑channel solutions.
  • Hold ultimate accountability for the financial health of the client portfolio, including annual forecasting, profitability, contract negotiations, and overall commercial stewardship.
  • Lead and inspire the integrated account team by example, ensuring the highest standards of creativity, strategic thinking, and executional excellence.
  • Proactively guide clients through the evolving market landscape, providing a forward‑looking perspective on risks, opportunities, and innovations that will protect and grow their business.
Key Leadership Competencies
  • Communicate a compelling strategic vision for the client’s business growth and foster partnership at the C‑suite level.
  • Architect cross‑functional teams and resource models to serve major client relationships, ensuring strategic resource allocation drives client success and agency profitability.
  • Own ultimate accountability for partnership success, from commercial performance to creative excellence.
  • Act as a senior strategic advisor on complex business challenges, making decisive, high‑stakes judgments.
  • Champion a culture of excellence and growth for the account team, mentoring senior talent to become future client leaders.
  • Shape a culture across the account team that lives and celebrates agency values, ensuring inclusivity, fairness, and psychological safety.
What You Will Need
  • Proven experience in a senior client leadership role (e.g., Business Director) with a track record of managing and growing multi‑million‑pound accounts.
