We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Food Specification Technologist to join our technical team. This role is essential in ensuring all product specifications meet legal, regulatory, and customer requirements while supporting new product development and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

• Create and maintain accurate product specifications across multiple retailer portals.
• Ensure compliance with food safety legislation, allergen management, and nutritional data requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers to gather technical information and verify documentation.
• Support the technical team during product launches and updates.
• Maintain internal databases and ensure all technical records are up to date.
• Assist with customer queries and audits related to product specifications.

• Previous experience in a food technical or specification role within the FMCG sector.
• Strong understanding of UK food legislation and retailer requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident using specification systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication skills for supplier and customer interaction.
