Job Description
Are you a Registered Veterinary Nurse ready for an exciting new chapter? We’ve recently opened the doors to our state‑of‑the‑art, purpose‑built surgery in Whetstone, and we want you to join our journey.
About Us
Our Practice Owner, Shweta Nakrani, is a postgraduate graduate of the University of Liverpool and is developing a Vet Cons certification. Shweta is passionate about cat friendly practices, soft tissue surgery, and Brachycephalic airway syndrome. The brand‑new surgery, opening Summer 2025, is situated inside a store and is equipped with digital & dental X‑ray facilities, theatre, separate cat/dog/isolation wards, and a generous colleague room.
We are proactive in supporting continuous professional development and CPD, and we value a collaborative and positive work environment.
We are open 6 days a week Monday – Saturday (Monday – Friday: 9am – 7pm, Saturday: 9am – 5pm on a rota basis for 1:2). As a brand‑new practice, we offer full or part‑time hours. Weekend work is included but no OOH required.
About You And The Role
We’re looking for a proactive, enthusiastic team player who is keen to work in a first‑opinion practice with high clinical standards. You’ll be a confident and motivated RVN with some experience behind you. If you are interested in and/or are a clinical coach this would be an advantage.
Responsibilities
• Embrace all aspects of the veterinary nurse role, delivering excellent patient and client care.
• Assist in surgical procedures and postoperative care.
• Participate in clinical coaching and team meetings.
• Support practice growth and help shape the culture from day one.
Qualifications
• Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) status.
• Clinical experience in a first‑opinion or similar setting.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Interest in continuous professional development.
