Studio Assistant – Pottery Painting Studio & Café

Weekend availability required.

We are looking for a friendly, creative, and reliable Studio Assistant to join our pottery painting studio and café. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has an eye for creativity, and thrives in a lively, hands‑on environment.

• Guide customers with painting techniques, colour choices, and design ideas.
• Prepare materials and ensure finished pieces meet studio standards.
• Support events, workshops, birthday parties, and themed activities, including glazing and preparing items for kiln firing (training provided).
• Deliver excellent customer service in the café: take orders, prepare drinks and simple food items, operate the till, answer enquiries, and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation across both the studio and café – clear and reset tables, wash tools, follow health and safety procedures, and keep equipment and public areas tidy.
• Help with inventory management: restock paints, pottery materials, café supplies, and cleaning products; rotate stock; report when items need reordering.
• Unbox and price new stock, package completed pottery for collection, take phone bookings, and support the team during busy periods.

Pay: £12.25 per hour

Job Types: Full‑time, Part‑time – Expected hours: 16–40 per week.
