Job Overview

We are looking for a dynamic, tenacious and results‑driven Solutions Director, with a growth mindset. You will deliver results taking projects from cradle (first contact) to grave, handing over winning bids to your operational colleagues and potentially assisting them in developing organic growth opportunities. We seek someone with a proven track record in technical sales in both private and public sector, able to proactively identify, approach, solve and win net new business as well as working alongside operational teams to support retention activities.

Responsibilities
  • Pipeline & Revenue Growth – Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities within the Engineering Division, leveraging market insights, client relationships and industry partnerships.
  • Support the delivery against a new business sales target of £120 m ACV.
  • Develop and execute sales initiatives to build a robust pipeline across targeted sectors.
  • Drive proactive business development activities, from reactive tendering to becoming a market‑leading consultative sales operation.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous pipeline management processes using , ensuring accurate forecasting and real‑time visibility of opportunities.
  • Identify and penetrate new market sectors, with particular focus on high‑value engineering service opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the intricacies of the allocated sector(s).
  • Able to communicate and influence senior‑level/C‑Suite client contacts and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Strategic operational management experience and a proven track record in technical sales contracts within the private and public sector, to deliver an annual sales target of £5 m.
  • Able to work effortlessly within a matrix style organisation.
