Lead Python Developer

You will be leading a Scrum Team of cross-functional skills in tight collaboration practising Agile. You will be contributing to real decisions about technology to create maintainable solutions for our customer and participating in a highly collaborative group of software engineering professionals. You will learn and develop as a well-rounded developer. You will have experience in Python, Databricks, and Large Language Models (LLMs) to support and enhance our client’s AI-driven initiatives.

Beyond technical expertise, you will follow software engineering best practices, including codebase security, testing, and scalability of AI systems. This role requires someone who is a self-starter and stays ahead of technology.

• Lead a Scrum Team of cross-functional skills in an Agile environment.
• Contribute to technology decisions to create maintainable solutions for clients.
• Collaborate within a highly collaborative software engineering group.
• Develop as a rounded software developer through learning and practice.
• Apply experience in Python, Databricks and Large Language Models to AI initiatives.
• Follow software engineering best practices including security, testing, and scalability of AI systems.

• Experience of working in a Scrum Team and an Agile environment
• Strong software engineering background with SOLID principles and extensive experience in Python
• Knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision and other AI techniques
• Experience developing and deploying AI solutions using Python, Tensor Flow, PyTorch, Keras, Snowflake, or similar frameworks
• Experience developing REST-based APIs
• Knowledge and experience with Dev Ops and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Packer, Docker)
• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
• Front-end development experience with React is preferred
• Experience with cloud, preferably AWS, including Lambda, S3, EC2 and DynamoDB
• Experience writing unit tests and integration tests
• Financial Services or Capital Markets experience is preferred
• Ability to lead teams and coordinate stakeholder engagements and meetings
• Ability to mentor junior team members
