Job Summary

FTSE Russell is looking for a senior software engineer to lead the development of distribution capabilities for our index products. The platform delivers analytics, product data stores, API/file channels, permissioning systems, and usage tracking. The role focuses on building a modern, cloud‑native (AWS) infrastructure and mentoring junior developers.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and scale next‑gen index distribution platforms to provide a delightful consumer experience.
• Develop efficient, secure cloud‑native architectures on AWS.
• Work with relational and No
  
  SQL databases, object stores, and Lakehouse architectures.
• Design scalable data models in collaboration with data governance.
• Mentor peers, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of quality.
• Partner with global teams to define new solutions across cloud, data, and analytics.
• Implement functionality with upstream and downstream development teams.
• Embed a test culture with automated and integrated test cases.
• Continuously learn and push for innovative designs.
