Logistics Operations Coordinator (Maternity Cover, 12 Months) – London (Hybrid)

Are you an experienced sea freight professional looking for an exciting, hands-on logistics role?

A leading international trading group is seeking a Logistics Operations Coordinator on a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover), starting February 2026, based in their London office.

This is a key operational and commercial role, coordinating the movement of goods globally, collaborating closely with offices in China and Germany, and managing logistics with both suppliers and customers.

What makes this role exciting:

* Take ownership of end-to-end logistics operations, from shipment planning to delivery

* Negotiate freight rates and manage relationships with 3PL providers

* Ensure all shipping documentation, BLs, and insurance declarations are accurate and compliant

* Monitor shipments globally, resolve bottlenecks, and support invoicing processes

* Work within a small, dynamic team and gain exposure to international trade and complex logistics projects

Key Requirements:

* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sea freight operations

* In-depth knowledge of shipping documentation and Incoterms

* Strong commercial awareness and experience negotiating rates

* Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with SAP (training provided if needed)

* Experience in project cargo and claims management

* Ability to set priorities, work under pressure, and think proactively
