Structural Engineering Lead

Technical Tasks, Competencies &

Experience:

• Technically strong, understand first principle calculations, execute / oversee designs and have attention to detail.
• Understand BOQs and how to populate BOQs
• Be able to do a project schedule, understand the interconnectivity of the various activities and maintain the schedule for structural works.
• Must have experience in most of the following :
• Apply the loading code, advantageous to have experience in crane and seismic loading.
• Structural steel design, including design of steel connections
• Reinforced concrete design
• Check drawings and bending schedules
• Masonry design
• Timber design

• Must be able to work autonomously
• Ability to mentor a young team
• Take ownership of the structures team
• Communicate with senior management regarding progress
• Take initiative and identify areas where we as a structure team can improve
• Lead by example.
