IT Project Manager, Infrastructure Deployment

Our client, What Jobs Direct, is looking for a seasoned IT Project Manager to oversee significant infrastructure deployment projects in Centurion, Gauteng . This is an on‑site position requiring dedicated presence in our state‑of‑the‑art facilities. You will be responsible for managing the planning, execution, and successful completion of critical IT infrastructure upgrades and implementations across our network. This role demands a meticulous planner with a proven ability to manage complex technical projects, coordinate with various vendors, and ensure seamless integration of new systems.

• Manage the full lifecycle of IT infrastructure projects, from initiation to closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, budget management, and scheduling.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of new hardware, software, and network components.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Track project progress, provide regular status reports, and manage change requests.
• Ensure all deployed infrastructure adheres to security policies and compliance standards.
• Manage project budgets and ensure cost‑effective delivery of solutions.
• Conduct post‑project reviews and document lessons learned.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an IT Project Manager, with a focus on infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in managing large‑scale hardware, software, and network deployments.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure technologies, including servers, networking, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
