IT Infrastructure Lead - Cloud Services

Our client, a dynamic and expanding enterprise in the technology sector, is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Lead to manage and evolve their critical IT infrastructure, with a focus on cloud services. This hands‑on leadership role is based in Centurion, Gauteng , and requires a proactive individual to ensure the stability, security, and performance of all IT systems. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud solutions, as well as overseeing the company's on‑premise infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of network architecture, server administration, cybersecurity principles, and cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). • Lead the design, implementation, and management of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage.
• Oversee the deployment and ongoing management of cloud‑based services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect company data.
• Manage and maintain virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and efficiency.
• Plan and execute IT infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new technologies.
• Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the IT support team.
• Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place and regularly tested.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, AWS) are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure management.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Experience with server administration (Windows Server, Linux).
• Proficiency in virtualization technologies.
• Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
