Head of IT Infrastructure

Our client, a prominent financial services institution, is actively seeking a seasoned and strategic Head of IT Infrastructure to oversee their technological backbone. Based in Centurion , this critical role demands a leader with extensive experience in managing complex IT environments, ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of all infrastructure operations. You will be responsible for defining the IT infrastructure roadmap, managing a team of skilled IT professionals, and collaborating closely with other departments to support business objectives.

• Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure strategy and roadmap.
• Oversee the design, deployment, and management of all IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services.
• Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of all IT systems and data.
• Lead and mentor the IT Infrastructure team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Manage IT infrastructure budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement processes.
• Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices for infrastructure management and cybersecurity.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
• Collaborate with application development teams to ensure infrastructure supports application needs.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend solutions to enhance infrastructure capabilities.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience managing large-scale, complex IT infrastructure environments, including on-premises and cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep understanding of networking protocols, server administration, virtualization technologies, and cybersecurity principles.
• Experience with ITIL frameworks and best practices for service management.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in the financial services industry is highly desirable.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCIE, PMP) are a plus.
