CNC Sliding Head​/Programmer​/Setter​/Operator

CNC Recruitment is seeking talented CNC Sliding Head Programmers, Setters, and Operators to join our client in Chard area – a well-respected engineering company in the Southwest region.

You will be joining a busy and modern precision engineering environment, working with sliding head CNC lathes (Citizen and Star machines).

Location: Chard area
Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Choice of 5-day week (39 hrs) or 4-day week (39 hrs)
Contract: Full Time & Permanent

• Programming, setting, and operating CNC sliding head lathes
• Working from engineering drawings to tight tolerances
• Conducting first-off inspections to maintain high-quality standards
• Maintaining high levels of productivity and precision
• Continuously improving skills in a supportive and dynamic team environment

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in CNC sliding head turning
• Fully competent in programming FANUC control systems
• Ability to work independently and carry out first-off inspections
• Quick learner with excellent skills retention
• Self-motivated, dependable, and a strong team player

• Full-time, permanent contract
• Choice of working a 4-day or 5-day week (39 hours)
• Up to £36,000 per annum depending on experience
