We are looking for a Kitchen staff member to join J D Wetherspoon at The Cerdic, Chard. This is a part‑time, entry‑level role that offers flexibility with shift patterns, including mornings, evenings, weekends and late finishes. No experience is required – just a positive attitude, willingness to learn and a calm head under pressure.

Salary: £12.41 per hour

Hours per week: 12 (Flexible each day)

• Prepare, cook and present food to correct specifications
• Operate kitchen workstations, including grills, fryers, microwaves and more
• Work as a team to meet time and quality targets
• Follow food hygiene, allergen and health & safety standards
• Clean as you go, including full kitchen clean‑downs
• Rotate stock and store food safely
• Complete induction, role‑specific and ongoing refresher training; contribute to continuous improvement
