We are a professional accounting firm providing accounting and related services, and we are an independent member of The AC Group of Independent Accounting Firms Limited.
OverviewWe are currently recruiting for a Manager, Assurance and Accounting to join our diverse team of professionals. In this role, the Manager will work closely with our partners and will be responsible for navigating processes, effectively monitoring engagements, and developing and maintaining working relationships with clients and our team of professionals.
Base pay range
CA $90,000.00/yr - CA$/yr
Responsibilities- Assuring engagements are planned, scheduled, managed and compliant;
- Monitoring that the quality of work meets and exceeds all Firm and Professional standards;
- Maintaining budgets and timely, efficient completion of engagements;
- Assisting with complex areas, providing creative solutions, technical expertise and training;
- Maintaining assurance and accounting knowledge regarding industry related policies, regulations, procedures, statutes, Acts, quality control measures, ethics, professional conduct etc.
- CPA designation or similar relevant designation;
- A strong understanding of accounting principles, risk management and controls;
- 4 to 6 years of relevant public accounting experience;
- 2 – 4 years of experience as a Manager in public accounting would be beneficial;
- Supervisory and managerial training and a proven ability to manage a team;
- Leading engagements to complete audit, review and compilation engagements;
- Excellent communication, diplomacy, interpersonal and organizational skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and within a confidential work environment;
- Self-motivated with a thorough and methodical approach to projects;
- Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects in a timely manner;
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Critical thinking skills using logic and reason to identify alternative solutions, conclusions and best practices;
- Excellent computer skills with accounting software (e.g., Case Ware, Tax Prep, Sage, Quick Books) and MS Office products.
- Additional hours may be required to meet client and industry deadlines;
- Local travel as needed.

The successful candidate might anticipate a salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, based on education, skills and qualifications.
