Security - Bar​/Whitecap Entertainment

Whitecap Entertainment is seeking Security Staff to assist with providing security  Security Staff works in collaboration with the Head of Security for all Whitecap Entertainment Security events, including shows at PEI Brewing Company and two major festivals in July and September and other events/festivals around Charlottetown.

We are looking for those who can work weekday and weekend evenings from 6:30pm – 9:30pm and are available for 9 – 12 hours per week. This job is a summer position.

• Maintain a visible security presence and monitor assigned areas for any suspicious behavior or safety concerns.
• Swiftly respond to incidents, assisting in de-escalating conflicts with professionalism and calmness.
• Patrol the venue to identify and address potential security issues while enforcing venue/event policies.
• Work collaboratively with other team members, Bar
  1911 staff, and emergency personnel.
• Uphold a positive, polite, and approachable demeanor—no matter the situation.
• Take on other job‑related duties as required.

• You have no criminal record and are willing to complete a background check.
• You have strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
• You possess strong customer service and communication skills.
• You remain composed and respectful in high‑pressure environments.
• You are available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• You have experience in security or customer service (preferred).
• You have training in de‑escalation techniques (highly valued).
• You have a valid Responsible Beverage License or are willing to obtain one within 30 days.
• You hold CPR and/or First Aid Certification (considered an asset).
• You are physically fit and able to perform duties such as walking, standing, and climbing stairs.
