The role would suit applicants who are proficient in Solid Works, have experience producing detailed engineering drawings, and enjoy collaborating on innovative design projects. Applicants with a degree or qualification in Mechanical or Design Engineering will have an advantage, though hands-on experience and practical know-how are equally valued. Candidates with experience in P&IDs, layout plans, and 3D plant design are encouraged to apply.

Working as part of our innovative design team, you will be responsible for turning concepts into fully realised, high-quality designs that meet client specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-focused designer to develop their skills in a supportive, high-growth business.

The Role:

* Create detailed P&IDs, layout plans, and general arrangement drawings using Solid Works.

* Develop and maintain a 3D library of standard plant items.

* Collaborate with project engineers and clients to ensure designs meet requirements.

* Support quality control and validation of manufactured systems.

* Work across projects to ensure designs are practical, efficient, and meet high standards.

The Person :

* Degree or qualification in Mechanical or Design Engineering preferred, but not essential.

* Proficient in Solid Works, with working knowledge of MS AutoCAD Lite (or similar CAD packages).

* Ideally 3+ years’ experience in mechanical design.

* Self-motivated with a “can-do” attitude.

* Strong attention to detail and a willingness to continuously learn.
