We’re working with a well-established and growing firm of chartered accountants in Cheltenham who are looking to recruit an Audit Senior / Experienced Accountant to join their friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified, nearly qualified, or QBE accountant with solid audit experience who’s ready to take on more responsibility and lead client assignments. You’ll take a hands‑on role across a mixed portfolio of clients, handling both audit and accounts work.

• Leading around 8 audits per year, usually on-site with one or two team members.
• Preparing and reviewing accounts and tax returns for a range of clients.
• Taking a lead role with certain clients, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Assisting and developing junior team members while maintaining strong client relationships.

You’ll have plenty of support from senior staff when needed, but we’re looking for someone confident enough to manage the basics independently – someone who can complete a set of accounts or lead an audit with minimal supervision.

• ACA / ACCA qualified, nearly qualified, or QBE with relevant practice experience.
• Recent audit experience is essential.
• Strong understanding of accounting and tax fundamentals.
• Confident communicator with a proactive, professional approach.
• Enjoys working both independently and as part of a team.
