We are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join our Transformative Innovation (TI) department.
TI is a dynamic, fast‑paced and focused department that is responsible for developing and delivering next‑generation bathing experiences. As a Senior Electronics Engineer within TI, you will oversee and design hardware and firmware for a new well‑being focused category. In this role you will ensure high‑quality design and integration of technology into market‑leading products, collaborating with a global team of engineers from all disciplines alongside marketing and design functions.
The successful individual will be someone who is passionate about consumer product development and thrives in rapid project execution environments. You will be solution focused and able to demonstrate a proven track record of taking ownership of electronics design activities within complex projects with demanding timescales.
About the Role- This role offers the opportunity to develop new innovations from within Kohler Co. into consumer products. Taking ownership of the embedded firmware and hardware design activities within the new Category.
- Own the development and participate in all phases of the electronics and firmware development for first‑to‑market consumer products. This includes requirements capture, design, implementation, integration, compliance testing and deployment. This would be primarily focused on control, sensing and user interfaces.

- The position sits within a global multi‑disciplinary team touching upon functions including mechanical engineering, marketing, approvals, industrial design and external suppliers.

You will be actively contributing to the next generation of products and technologies for Kohler Co. For this you will need to be curious and tenacious individual with a drive to experiment and create high‑quality consumer experiences.
Skills/Requirements- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electronics/Electrical/Systems engineering or equivalent disciplines.
- 3+ years of industry experience.
- Experience in new product development industry.
- Highly motivated and self‑driven with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Analogue/Digital electronics knowledge.
- Sustained experience in delivering hardware and firmware for consumer products.
- Expertise in developing real‑time embedded firmware for a range of microcontroller platforms (ARM etc.)
- Expertise in delivering projects using schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium, ORCad or other industry tool).
- Expertise in embedded C, object‑oriented design and bare metal.
- Strong understanding of EMC and PCB design rules to meet compliance requirements (CE, FCC, UL).
- Good exposure to design validation techniques such as FMEA, DFMEA, DFM.
- Design for high volume manufacturing.
- Experience with failure analysis of consumer products.
- Strong knowledge of power electronics and signal processing.
