• Preparing Flood Risk Assessments for residential, commercial and mixed-use developments
• Producing drainage strategies and surface water management plans in line with current guidance and standards
• Undertaking hydraulic and hydrological assessments using industry-standard software
• Liaising with local authorities, Lead Local Flood Authorities, the Environment Agency and other stakeholders
• Supporting planning applications through technical input and responses to consultee comments
• Working collaboratively with planners, engineers and other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions

• Experience in flood risk and drainage within a consultancy or local authority environment
• A strong understanding of UK flood risk policy, planning guidance and SuDS principles
• Experience preparing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies
• The ability to communicate technical information clearly in written reports
• A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience
• Progress towards, or interest in working towards, professional accreditation (desirable)
