Position OverviewAs a Systems Engineering Graduate you will work on a variety of projects across the full product life cycle, from requirements capture to product verification. You will collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines to design and test solutions for Critical Control Systems for Civil and Military Aerospace, High/Low Power Distribution Power Control Systems, Military Land Vehicle electronics architectures, and Stores Ejection systems.
This 2‑year fixed‑term contract is part of a structured graduate development programme that can be tailored to your interests and supports progression to Professional Registration and Chartered Engineer status.
- Capture, define, analyse and manage system and customer requirements.
- Engage with mechanical, electronic, software, systems and safety engineering teams to integrate solutions.
- Design system architecture, hardware and software specifications, and detailed test plans.
- Oversee hardware build and testing, software coding and test, and prototype development.
- Conduct functional testing, qualification and regulatory accreditation activities.
- Participate in feasibility studies, technology evaluations and customer interactions.
- Completed or in final year of a degree in Integrated Systems Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering or Control Engineering.
- Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering candidates must demonstrate equivalent exposure to electronics.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with an interest in mechanical, electronic, software, systems or safety engineering.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team attitude.
- Willingness to relocate to modern Cheltenham or Cambridge offices as part of the programme.
