Accounts Payable Assistant

NXTGEN has an immediate requirement for an Accounts Payable & Expenses Assistant to join a market‑leading and global employer based in Cheltenham. Working as part of a large and established AP & AR team, the Accounts Payable Assistant will play a fundamental role in ensuring that both external suppliers are paid to pre‑agreed terms.

The role involves attributing costs within an SAP system, monitoring all payment and matching purchase orders where applicable, as well as reviewing and processing all employee expenses and ensuring timely, guideline‑compliant payments.

• Process a high volume of purchase invoices within an SAP system, ensuring all POs match where applicable.
• Review inter‑company transactions and invoices to ensure they are coded correctly.
• Prepare weekly payment runs.
• Reconcile supplier accounts to ensure ledger integrity.
• Review, process and approve employee expenses, ensuring compliance with HMRC guidelines at all times.
• Manage ad‑hoc queries when required.

• Prior experience working within a fast‑paced, high‑volume transactional environment.
• Experience handling multiple currencies.
• Demonstrable experience using SAP (advantageous).
• Confidence dealing with a high volume of supplier and internal customer queries in a timely and effective manner.

Salary offered is dependent on experience.
