Job Title: CNC Team Leader - Aerospace
Location: Cheltenham
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: 36,000 - 42,000 per year
Hours: Monday-Thursday (07:30-16:00), Friday (07:30-12:30)

We're looking for a proactive CNC Team Leader who can inspire a talented machine shop team while ensuring exceptional quality and operational performance.

The Role

As CNC Team Leader, you'll be at the heart of the machine shop-overseeing daily workflow, mentoring machinists, and helping to drive continuous improvement across the department.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, supporting, and developing a team of CNC machinists

  • Overseeing 3-, 4- and 5-axis CNC Milling & Turning operations

  • Setting, operating, and troubleshooting Fanuc and Heidenhain-controlled machines

  • Driving process improvements and contributing to lean manufacturing initiatives

  • Ensuring all work meets strict aerospace quality and health & safety standards

  • Working cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to maintain smooth operations

About You

We're looking for someone who brings both strong technical ability and confident leadership.

You will have:

  • Proven experience setting and operating CNC Milling & Turning machinery

  • Working knowledge of Fanuc and Heidenhain controls (Bridgeport & Haas experience an advantage)

  • Strong organisational and people-management skills

  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to hit deadlines and optimise workflow

  • A passion for maintaining high standards in a precision-engineering environment
