Position: CNC Setter Operator

This market-leading engineering company is recruiting for CNC Setter Operators to set and operate CNC Lathes at their site in Cheltenham. The company manufactures and supplies a range of specialist products to various industries across the globe.

Main duties & responsibilities:

Setting computer numerically controlled (CNC) lathes

Producing parts to drawings, deburring, cleaning, and packaging to set procedures

Ensuring excellent quality through the inspection of parts using measuring equipment such as gauges, verniers, and micrometers

Working to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), production rates, workplace organisation, front line operator asset care (FLOAC), maintenance, and cleanliness of machine equipment

Understanding and complying with Company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) practices, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting related initiatives

Engaging in, suggesting, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and projects as required

Skills /

Experience:

Basic CNC setting and operating experience

Experience with sliding head/star (beneficial)

Basic experience with measuring equipment

Experience working within a production/engineering environment
