An allowance of £5k per annum may be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. This job role can be based near Hertford or Cheltenham. Commutable within 30 to 60 minutes. Onsite (5 days office based). Monday-Friday (37.5 hours per week). You must be able to obtain DV clearance in order to start this role. You will need to have lived in the UK for 10 years+ to obtain this.

What you’ll be doing
  • Be hands on in the design, build, development, integration, testing and maintenance of IT infrastructure to provide a robust customer on‑premise platform.
  • Identifying and implementing design changes, improvements and updates required to keep products within supportability life cycles.
  • Utilising your experience in physical and virtual host infrastructures to ensure a resilient platform for hosted applications.
  • Producing high and low level design documentation and build guides.
  • Executing against the project technical roadmap and delivery plan.
  • Undertaking self‑development to broaden knowledge in new technologies outside current skillsets.
You’ll definitely have
  • Hands on experience in the design, build, development, integration, testing and maintenance of IT infrastructure.
  • Implemented hardware and operating systems to hardened build standards and used vulnerability and compliance scanning tools.
  • VMware infrastructure design, implementation and deployment skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Server & Desktop including specification, operating system builds, deployment toolsets (such as MDT, SCCM), OS version uplifts and migration.
You might even have
  • Experience with SAN storage solutions and networking.
  • IP network design including Juniper, Cisco configuration.
  • Experience in use of Advanced Microsoft Active Directory including Group Policy definition and deployment, including OS and application integration.
  • Integration with other supporting systems such as monitoring, patch update and Anti‑Virus.
  • PKI infrastructure design, build & deployment.
  • MS SQL database skills including design, deployment, high availability, version migration.
  • Ability to perform SAN storage implementation, configuration and systems upgrade.
  • Built & deployed Network and Infrastructure management & monitoring tools with strong knowledge of SNMP, syslog & IP networking, with OS and network troubleshooting skills.
