About the Opportunity:

Sanderson is partnering with an established tech consultancy hiring Cloud Native Engineers to deliver secure, cloud‑native solutions that modernise public‑sector and national‑security organisations across three specialisms:
Software Engineering (Java, full stack, microservices);
Dev Ops / Platform Engineering (Kubernetes, automation, cloud);
Solution & Cloud Architecture (distributed systems, event‑driven design). You'll work hands‑on building secure, scalable systems; shaping technical direction; and contributing to a collaborative engineering culture focused on simplicity, resilience, and impact. • Design and build cloud‑native applications using Java (Spring Boot) and React
• Develop microservices, APIs, and event‑driven components
• Work with Postgre
  
  SQL, Mongo
  
  DB, and distributed data patterns
• Build and maintain secure, automated platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and delivery automation
• Manage cloud environments (AWS/Azure), observability, and reliability tooling
• Define cloud‑native architectures for secure, high‑impact systems
• Lead decisions around microservices, workflow automation, event‑driven patterns
• Translate complex requirements into scalable, maintainable technical designs

• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, APIs, and microservices
• Full‑stack experience with React beneficial

• Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tooling
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)

• Experience designing distributed systems and cloud‑native architectures
• Understanding of DDD, scalability, resilience, and security best practice

Across all roles:

• Exposure to SQL/No
  
  SQL databases
• Ability to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Adaptable, proactive mindset suited to a growing consultancy environment
