About the Role
We are looking for an experienced PPC Head to lead and strengthen our Production Planning & Control function. The role is critical in ensuring on-time delivery, optimal capacity utilization, accurate planning, and data-driven decision-making across multiple production processes.
The ideal candidate will bring strong planning expertise, leadership capability, and hands-on experience in manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Planning & Scheduling
Develop master production plans based on order book, delivery commitments, and capacity.
Create daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for all departments.
Ensure planning is aligned with Ex-Factory / Shipment dates.
Balance workload across sections to avoid bottlenecks.
Production Control & Monitoring
Track Plan vs Actual on a daily basis.
Identify delays, risks, and deviations; initiate corrective actions.
Ensure effective WIP control and smooth material flow.
Drive adherence to SOPs and standardized processes.
Capacity & Resource Management
Plan capacity based on SAM, manpower, and machine availability.
Optimize utilization of manpower and machines.
Recommend capacity enhancements or manpower adjustments when required.
Coordination & Communication
Act as a central coordination point between Merchandising, Production, Quality, Stores, and Management.
Conduct daily production review meetings.
Escalate risks proactively with solutions, not just problems.
Reporting & MIS
Prepare and present daily / weekly / monthly MIS reports.
Maintain dashboards covering:
Order status
Plan vs Actual
Capacity utilization
Delivery performance
Ensure data accuracy and discipline in reporting.
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor PPC Executives / DEOs.
Assign responsibilities and review performance.
Build a strong planning culture focused on accountability and results.
Continuous Improvement
Improve planning systems, tools, and workflows.
Implement digital solutions (Excel, Power BI, ERP).
Drive efficiency, reduce rework, and improve delivery performance.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of production planning & control in manufacturing.
Excellent understanding of capacity planning and scheduling.
Advanced skills in MS Excel (Power Query, formulas, dashboards).
Working knowledge of Power BI / ERP systems preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
Leadership mindset with hands-on execution ability.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Production / Industrial / Operations.
MBA or PG Diploma in Operations / Supply Chain is an added advantage.
