We are looking for an Logistic Executive – Central Excise & Export–Import Operations to handle day-to-day export and import activities, customs documentation, and statutory compliance. The role involves coordination with internal teams, logistics partners, customs authorities, and banks to ensure smooth and compliant movement of goods for domestic and international trade.
Key Responsibilities
Execute end-to-end export and import operations in coordination with internal teams, logistics partners, and customs authorities.
Prepare, verify, and manage export-import documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, shipping bills, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
Coordinate with Customs House Agents (CHA) for timely customs clearance of import and export consignments.
Ensure compliance with Customs Act, GST, Central Excise (where applicable), DGFT regulations, and statutory requirements.
Maintain statutory records related to imports, exports, LUT, duty payments, exemptions, and customs filings.
File and track documentation on government portals such as DGFT, ICEGATE, GST, and E-Way Bill systems.
Monitor shipment movement, follow up for on-time delivery, and ensure closure of transactions.
Coordinate with freight forwarders and transporters; track and verify logistics costs including freight, customs duty, IGST, insurance, and clearing charges.
Support verification of freight, CHA, and logistics invoices and assist in insurance claims for damaged or short shipments.
Liaise with Production, Stores, Procurement, Sales, Finance, banks, customers, and suppliers to align dispatch schedules and documentation.
Maintain accurate records in ERP systems and prepare periodic export, import, and logistics reports.
Support internal audits, statutory inspections, and external audits by providing required documentation.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / International Business / Logistics / Business Administration or equivalent.
Experience
3 to 8 years of experience in export-import operations, customs documentation, or logistics coordination.
Experience in manufacturing or export-oriented organizations preferred.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of export-import procedures, customs documentation, and GST compliance.
Basic understanding of Incoterms and international trade practices.
Hands-on experience with DGFT, ICEGATE, GST, and E-Way Bill portals.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel; working knowledge of ERP systems preferred (Infor LN / BAAN advantageous).
High attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple shipments and meet tight deadlines.
Good communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
