Temporary, with the opportunity to become permanent Manpower is recruiting Class 2 HGV Drivers on behalf of our client. This role is temp to perm for the ideal candidate. What you'll do on a typical day:
Safely operate the delivery vehicle, adhering to business standards and protocols. Conduct thorough vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with VOSA regulations. Perform white goods deliveries, accompanied by a driver's mate. Execute two types of deliveries: home deliveries and kerbside deliveries. For home deliveries, transport items to the customer's room of choice, including carrying items to homes that may be several stories high.

For kerbside deliveries, hand off items directly to individuals on building sites. Deliver items such as white goods (e.g., dishwashers, washing machines, fridges), kitchen units, and worktops. Handle multidrop deliveries, with the number of stops varying daily. Use a handheld scanner and complete all necessary paperwork. The presence of a driver's mate depends on the delivery type; assistance is usually available on-site for kerbside deliveries.

Physical fitness is essential for this role due to the nature of the work. Strong communication skills and a positive demeanour are required for direct interaction with customers. What you need to succeed with our client: HGV 2 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) No more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.

Minimum 6 months Class 2 experience A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card. Multidrop delivery experience. Excellent knowledge of the UK road network. A can-do attitude.
