Yard Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and reliable Yard Assistant to join our team s role is essential to ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our yard and vehicle fleet. You will work closely with the Yard Supervisor, assisting with vehicle movements, cleaning, maintenance, and ensuring all units meet ADF's high operational standards. Ensure that the correct procedures are adhered to when 'hitching and unhitching' the unit to the trailer and to ensure that the trailer is securely loaded.

• If necessary to deliver to a customer, depot, garage, or test centre.
• Diligently ensuring driver and vehicle checks are completed correctly.
• Assisting in the cleaning and maintenance of all ADF trailers to the required standards.
• Operating our vacuum tanker, removing waste from our trailers on site.
• Reporting any defects or damage found while working on trailers to the Yard Supervisor.
• Completing check sheets when trailers are cleaned, signing off and giving them to the Yard Supervisor.

• Hold a Class One HGV licence.
• Hold a forklift licence.
• Must be able to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Must be able to deliver consistently under pressure.
• Great attention to detail.
• Team player.
