Salary: Up To £55K + Pkg

We are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work for a Major Civil Contractor specializing in a variety of heavy civil engineering sectors across the UK. The role will be based on a multi-million pound tunnelling project in Somerset. Relevant qualifications include:

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Progressed steadily from an engineering background
• Experience in civil sectors
• Chartered or working towards chartership
• Experience managing on-site staff (engineers, foremen, etc.)

• Preparation of budgets and forecasts for each contract
• Review and guide the preparation of monthly cost and value reconciliations in line with deadlines
• Process supply chain invoices, accounts, and contractual issues promptly
• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly value of work done forecasts and earned value analysis
• Guide the team on supply chain management, administration, and contractual requirements of the alliance contract schedules
• Assist with preparing financial information for alliance governance and pre-construction procedures
• Ensure timely completion of consolidated monthly project and scheme payment applications, including raising such applications
• Collaborate with operational, finance, and QS teams to evaluate cost accruals and estimated actual costs for payments

• Knowledge of NEC frameworks
• Strong analytical and data review skills
• Contractual and commercial experience in similar civil projects
