Overview

Part Time Senior Practice Bookkeeper – Chester City Centre – to £35,000 (Pro-Rata) plus benefits. An established chartered accountancy practice is recruiting an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their busy practice in Chester City Centre. This role is offered on a part-time basis, 3 days per week. The ideal candidate will be based in the office, although hybrid working will also be considered.

As a senior bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring their bookkeeping needs are met with precision and efficiency.

• Bookkeeping for a variety of clients using Xero and other cloud accounting packages
• Completing VAT returns
• Processing sales invoices, receipts and payments
• Bank reconciliations and posting bank transactions
• Ensuring work is completed in a timely manner
• Preparation of management accounts
• Liaising with clients in a professional manner

• Experience gained in a similar role in an accountancy practice – essential
• AAT qualified – preferred, but not essential
• Strong organisational and communication skills
