To welcome and serve visitors to the cinema in an individual and informed way whilst delivering the highest standard of customer service at all times. You will support the cinema team to promote membership benefits and continuously drive sales, ensuring the cinema runs smoothly in line with policies and procedures.
Duties- Box Office duties, retail duties, usher duties, bar duties and kitchen duties with a focus on customer service in all areas.
- Deliver excellent customer service, manage queues, provide up‑to‑date product knowledge.
- Guide customers to their seats and verify tickets, including member cards.
- Respond to complaints/queries immediately and direct appropriately.
- Provide information on performance start times, film synopsis and classification.
- Enforce film classification and piracy policy; maintain logs of lost property.
- Monitor screens for piracy, picture & sound quality, temperature, customer disturbance and any H&S issues.
- Promote sales through current marketing promotions and memberships; process transactions accurately.
- Maintain sales displays, rotate stock using FIFO, and suggest additional products.
- Record wastage following established procedures.
- Adhere to food hygiene regulations and health & safety policies; report any breaches.
- Open and close all areas, completing required paperwork.
- Undertake daily cinema cleaning for front and back of house areas, screens and seating.
- Attend staff meetings, review notice boards and ask questions as needed.
- Adhere to all relevant policies and perform other reasonable duties as requested.
- Passionate about excellent customer service.
- Confident in communication with customers and colleagues.
- Works effectively as part of a team.
- Adaptable and flexible to changing circumstances.
- Resourceful and able to work under pressure.
- Available to work at key business times, i.e., evenings and weekends.
- Cash handling experience.
- Experience in a service‑related industry.
- Interest and knowledge of film and Picturehouse programming strands.
