Mechanical Design Engineer - Robotics

The Mechanical Design Engineer (Robotics) will be responsible for advancing existing designs, optimizing mechanical systems, accessibility studies, cost estimation, structural optimization and supporting the design adaptation based on ergonomic and safety studies. Proficient in CATIA V5 and familiarity with 3DExperience.

• Design mechanical components and assemblies using CAD tools CATIA V5, (3
  
  Dexperience a nice to have)
• Conduct mechanical analysis (stress, thermal, motion)
• Develop prototypes and iterate based on testing feedback
• Collaborate with manufacturing and sourcing teams
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Support integration and testing of robotic systems
• Analyse robotic system reachability to all desired targets
• Perform structural optimization using load analysis to ensure safety and efficiency: FEA analysis report for mechanical components and structure.
• Support ergonomic and safety reviews, adapting designs to meet Airbus standards.
• Determine the required space for the components within the station: control cabinet, EE, electrical cabinet, HMI, fastener feeder system, tool change and surface needed for the whole station: space allocation report.

• Bachelor’s or master’s in mechanical engineering
• Experience in mechanical design, preferably in robotics
• Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA V5)
• Experience with prototyping, 3D printing, and mechanical testing
• Familiarity with electromechanical systems and actuator integration
• Knowledge of FEA tools and simulation software
