Salary: £65,000 – £85,000 + excellent benefits
DATS Recruitment is partnering with a world-leading organisation in the nuclear and energy sector to find an experienced Safety and Criticality Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex projects where safety, compliance, and innovation are paramount.
Key responsibilities:
* Conduct design safety analysis, including chemo toxic, criticality, and nuclear hazard assessments
* Perform HAZOP/HAZAN/HAZID studies and follow-up verification analyses
* Produce criticality safety analysis and dose calculations using MONK and MCNP
* Support project licence submissions and respond to technical and safety-related queries
* Apply first-principles analysis to optimise safety systems and ensure compliance
About you:
* Degree-qualified in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in safety analysis, ideally with criticality focus
* Experienced with MONK and MCNP software
* Strong communicator and collaborator with internal teams and external stakeholders
* Eligible for or holding DV Security Clearance;
French or German a plus
* Flexible approach with willingness to travel or work outside standard hours
