A great opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major civil engineering project in Chester. You’ll play a key role in commercial management, cost control, and contract administration, working closely with senior leadership and maintaining a strong on-site presence.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare commercial reports, valuations, and applications for payment.
- Produce client cost reports with full contractual compliance.
- Manage procurement schedules for subcontractors and materials.
- Administer subcontractor accounts, payments, variations, and final accounts.
- Lead contract administration, change management, and commercial registers.
- Identify commercial risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.
- Track and manage project costs using internal systems.
- 5+ years’ QS experience, including 2+ years as a Senior QS.
- Essential experience in shafts and tunnelling projects.
- Strong commercial and contractual understanding.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and negotiation ability.
