About the RoleAs an apprentice, you will join our Cyber Security Technology team in a full‑time role while studying the Cyber Security pathway of a three‑year Digital & Technology Solutions Professional Degree. You will work alongside colleagues from around the world, building hands‑on experience and contributing to projects that strengthen the bank’s security posture.
Programme OverviewYour training begins in September 2026 and includes formal classroom learning, on‑the‑job support, speaker events, and mentorship throughout the three‑year apprenticeship.
Training and DevelopmentWe prioritise your development through extensive formal training, on‑the‑job support, educational events, and mentorship.
Responsibilities- Develop an understanding of the bank’s security policy, standards, and requirements.
- Learn established processes and guidelines for handling common security issues.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation, record‑keeping, and analysis of security inquiries or incidents.
- Monitor assigned queues and manage work cases efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve complex problems and, when necessary, raise escalation.
- Adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Support technical and non‑technical colleagues with specialised GIS functions to improve operational efficiency.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the team and beyond.
- At least 3 A‑levels, BTEC or equivalent with a minimum of 104 UCAS points.
- Minimum grade C (or
5) in Maths and English GCSE (grade 4 will not be accepted). - UK resident for the past 3 years.
- Right to work and remain in the UK indefinitely.
- Not in full‑time education at the start of the apprenticeship.
- Not already holding a qualification or apprenticeship at the same level or higher that provides comparable skills or training.

- Motivation to pursue a technology career in financial services and a specific interest in information security.
- Innovative thinking and strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Effective communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to interact with diverse teams.
- Evidence of teamwork and leadership.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Integrity and ethics demonstrated through honesty and professionalism.
- Experience with object‑oriented programming languages.
- Interest in system design, architecture, database systems, business intelligence tools, and service management within technology.
