What you'll do:

Oversee and manage maintenance of buildings, grounds, and general site facilities, including repairs, decorating, basic plumbing, joinery and grounds maintenance.
Act as key-holder: open and close the site; manage contractors; monitor water temperatures; carry out fire-alarm/fire-safety checks; perform risk assessments and update records digitally.
Assist with site traffic control, snow clearance or gritting when needed, and other general safety and maintenance tasks.
Support overall Health & Safety compliance and record-keeping.
Liaise with outside contractors, handle scheduling of maintenance/inspection checks, and ensure timely repairs and upkeep.

You may be a good fit if you:

Have a strong level of literacy and numeracy; experience with report writing, inspections or safety checks is desirable.
Are comfortable working independently, able to manage your time reliably and flexibly - this role may involve split shifts.
Have basic skills in plumbing/joinery/DIY, and a willingness to carry out general maintenance tasks.
Have a working knowledge of digital tools (e.g. Microsoft Office) for logging maintenance, risk assessments and reporting.
Are dependable, organised and committed to the safe, effective upkeep of a busy school environment.
Have a H&S qualification (desirable)
Have a DBS Enhanced Certificate (or are willing to get one) (required)
Commutable to Neston area

What's on offer:
