Maintenance Technician
Forge Holiday Group is looking for a Maintenance Technician to help keep our sites safe, operational, and looking their best. OverviewAs a Maintenance Technician you’ll be essential in keeping our buildings, facilities, and equipment in top condition. You’ll assist with repairs, inspections, preventative maintenance, furniture assembly, painting, decorating, and support operational tasks across our Chester HQ and wider UK estate.
What You’ll Do- Conduct inspections of company facilities to identify maintenance or repair needs.
- Assist with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with external contractors to schedule and oversee repairs.
- Support preventative maintenance programs and monitor facility systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inventories.
- Review and follow RAMS for all tasks and projects.
- Respond promptly to facilities‑related emergencies.
- Support office moves, refurbishments, and desk planning.
- Assist with furniture assembly, painting, decorating, and smaller building projects.
- Monitor and manage inventory of parts, supplies, and equipment.
- Contribute to sustainability initiatives, such as waste and plastic reduction.
- Support wider maintenance teams with ad hoc projects as required.
- Relevant experience coordinating hard services within a corporate office or multi‑site environment.
- Problem‑solving skills and a customer‑focused approach.
- Knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A full, clean UK Driving Licence (please declare if you have any points).
- Experience using an automated FM system.
- Health & Safety knowledge or relevant experience.
- Experience supporting sustainability or operational improvement projects.
- Smooth operations and maintenance across Chester HQ and ~40 UK sites.
- Timely completion of repairs, maintenance, and small projects.
- Accurate records and compliance with RAMS and health & safety.
- Office moves, desk planning, and refurbishment projects.
- Sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction and energy efficiency.
