Accountant; ACCA​/ACA Practice

Are you progressing through ACCA / ACA (or recently qualified) and looking for an interesting new challenge in a small growing firm that can fast track you to equity partner?

This is a highly ambitious single partner firm – they are on the cusp of significant investment and growth, and you’ll be coming in at an exciting (and lucrative) phase of the journey.

It’s a team of 5, a cohesive, collaborative, and welcoming group. They have a superb baseline of loyal and diverse clients (sole traders, partnerships, and small Ltd companies) across various sectors.

Your remit is supporting the Partner to manage the existing workload while he drives growth and ensures the infrastructure is in place to onboard new clients.

You’ll be managing clients, reviewing accounting work from junior team members, training, and growing the squad (with apprentices joining in 2024 whom you'll coach and support).

This role offers a fast track to partner level and a valuable shareholding in the firm.

Unique opportunity – you won’t be just another member of the firm. You’ll have genuine input into decisions, team selection, processes, procedures, growth strategies, and more – alongside business-as-usual accounting.

You’ll be someone who enjoys bringing out the best in others, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a range of clients.

Required:

• ACCA / ACA (completed or expecting to complete in 2024 ideally).
• A successful track record at Semi Senior / Senior level in another regional firm.
• Ability to coach and lead others.
• Excellent technical accounting knowledge (experience with accounts preparation or audit).
• IT skills – good knowledge of accounting software and MS Office suite.
• Ability to manage your own time and work autonomously in a small, growing team.

4 days office-based, 1 day remote initially. Route to equity partner, great environment, varied role managing a team (AAT qualified and apprentices).
