You'll be supported by experienced engineers while gaining hands-on experience with equipment up to 132kV and beyond, working on projects within utilities, renewable energy, and critical infrastructure. In this role, you will lead assistant engineers with the testing and commissioning of HV systems, learn to carry out primary/secondary injection testing, support with site safety documentation, and prepare detailed reports. You will travel nationwide to project sites, developing your skills while playing a vital role in the delivery of safe, reliable, high-quality HV installations.

This role suits someone with an electrical background (apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or practical experience), keen to specialise in HV commissioning and progress their career with a company offering training, progression, and excellent benefits.

The Role:

Lead assistant engineers with HV testing & commissioning (up to 132kV) Support with equipment setup, safety checks, RAMS and documentation Learn injection testing, relay testing and SCADA/fibre optic systems

The Person : SSE C1 - C3 authorised Experience is 400kV GIS substation Electrical background (apprenticeship / HNC / HND / hands-on experience) Full UK driving licence, willing to travel nationwide Reference: BBBH
