Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate, client‑centred Clinical Psychologist to work part‑time (3 days a week) in our Buxton Core CAMHS Team. The position offers flexible arrangements, a supportive multidisciplinary environment, and opportunities for professional development through our internal training programme and supervision practice.
Key responsibilities include direct therapy and assessment of children and young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties, leading on core therapeutic pathways such as DBT and CBT, supporting service development and ROMs delivery, and contributing to team meetings and case discussions.
Responsibilities- Provide specialist psychological assessments, formulations, and therapeutic interventions for children and young people.
- Deliver direct therapy using evidence‑based approaches (DBT, CBT, IPT, systemic interventions).
- Support service improvement initiatives, including ROMs and clinical supervision programmes.
- Offer clinical advice, consultations, supervision, and training to other CAMHS professionals.
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to service developments.
- Essential Qualifications
- Doctoral qualification in Clinical Psychology (or about to qualify).
- Registered with HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist, or expected to be registered during training.
- Essential Experience
- Professional teamwork within multidisciplinary settings.
- Experience working with children, young people, and families in community contexts.
- Managing clinical risk and engaging in clinical supervision.
- Desirable Qualifications
- Post‑doctoral training.
- Accreditation in evidence‑based therapies such as CBT, IPT, DBT, or systemic approaches.
- Desirable Experience
- CAMHS‑specific experience, including neuro‑diversity and complex trauma.
- Safeguarding and mental health risk assessment.
- Prior supervision of trainees and contribution to research/projects.
- Skills and Knowledge
- Proficient in psychological assessment models and intervention techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong research and evaluation abilities.

: B7 £ 47,810 – £54,710 per annum (or B8a £55,690 – £62,682, pro‑rata)
