Job Title:

Production Labourer/Counterbalance FLT Driver

Location:

Chesterfield, S41.

Working Hours:

7.30am – 4pm.

Hourly rate: £13p/h.

Duration:
Expected to last at least 12 weeks may go temp to perm.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and proactive individual to support the upkeep, cleanliness, and general housekeeping of our client’s production facility and surrounding areas. This hands-on role is essential in maintaining a safe, tidy, and efficient working environment for our team, as well as supporting logistics activities on site.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain cleanliness of the shopfloor, including regular sweeping of walkways and machine areas.

* Replace oil soaks around machinery as required to ensure a clean and safe working environment.

* Manage waste disposal by emptying general waste, scrap products, plastic waste, cardboard, and other site bins in accordance with site procedures.

* Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) to transport finished pallets from the production area to the on-site Distribution Centre once or twice daily.

* Monitor and replenish essential cleaning and hygiene supplies in site facilities (hand soaps, moisturisers, etc.), typically on a weekly basis.

* Perform external site inspections, including walking the perimeter of the building every other day, addressing any litter or maintenance issues.

* Support with general housekeeping and other duties as directed by the management team.

Key Requirements:

* Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence.

* Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to housekeeping tasks.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Good organisational and time management skills.

* Comfortable with both indoor and outdoor duties in varying conditions
