Location: Chesterfield (On-site, Full-Time)

About the Business: Smart Corporate Stays is a fast‑growing property management and franchise business on a mission to help 100 people become property millionaires within the next three years. They work with graduates, career‑changers, first‑time investors, giving them the tools, training and support to build long‑term wealth through property. Their model is proven, highly profitable, and scaling nationally.

The Opportunity: We at Phoenix
51 are helping Smart Corporate Stays hire two Business Development Representatives to join at an exciting stage of growth. This is not cold outbound sales; you’ll be working with warm, engaged leads who already know their brand and have actively shown interest. Your role is to follow up, qualify, convert and support people through the front end of our funnel — from first conversation through to training or franchise sign‑up.

What

You’ll Be Doing New Lead Conversion (majority of the role):
  • Calling and following up warm leads from exhibitions, events and social channels
  • Booking 1‑to‑1 calls, free training sessions and paid programmes
  • Confirming attendance ahead of events
  • Converting interest into paid training and franchise onboarding
  • Taking payments over the phone (including evenings/weekends when required)
Events & Training Support:
  • Attending property exhibitions and training events
  • Speaking with attendees, qualifying interest and booking next steps
  • Following up post‑event and updating systems
Existing Customer Support (smaller part of the role):
  • Chasing late payments where required
  • Informing customers of upcoming training or events
  • Light customer support as part of a small team environment

This is a hands‑on, commercial role where you’ll see the direct impact of your work quickly.

  • A background where you’ve had targets, KPIs or accountability
You’ll be someone who:
  • Is confident on the phone and enjoys speaking to people
  • Is organised, persistent and commercially minded
  • Can ask for the sale and handle objections professionally
  • Buys into a mission‑led business, not just a job
  • Is interested in property and investing (or wants to learn)
  • Has a strong “get it done” mentality
  • Willingness to work flexibly when required (some evenings/weekends) with time off in lieu
  • Comfortable in a fast‑moving, growing business
  • Team player mindset — no “that’s not my job” attitude
  • Full‑time, on‑site in Chesterfield
  • Full UK driving licence
Working Pattern
  • Core hours are office‑based, but flexibility is essential
  • Some events and onboarding calls happen evenings or weekends
  • Weekend work is balanced with flexibility during the week
  • This role is not strictly 9–5
Salary & Progression
  • £30,000 base salary (depending on experience)
  • Commission / bonuses on conversions
  • Realistic OTE up to £50,000
  • Clear progression as the sales team grows (future BDM roles)
