Business Development Manager
Custom Solar is recruiting a Business Development Manager to support the expansion of their Sales Team. The role involves identifying, developing, and securing contracts for Solar PV systems and battery storage, with values ranging from £250k to £2million+. Key sectors include commercial, industrial, public sector, and new build commercial developments.
Responsibilities- Identify and convert new sales opportunities.
- Engage with corporate end users, building relationships with senior figures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to manage projects from conception to contract signature.
- Work with external partners to provide funding options.
- Develop new business opportunities for the company's O&M offering.
- Proven track record in selling commercial PV systems (desirable)
- Broad technical understanding of Solar PV, battery storage, and UK energy markets.
- Experience in consultative sales processes and managing tendering processes.
- Ability to generate leads, maintain relationships, and convert sales.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Energetic, self-driven, and motivated to succeed.
- Understanding of financial and funding models.
- Results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
