Baker – Cowdray Farm Shop & Café

Cowdray Estate is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Baker to join the team at our award-winning Farm Shop and Café. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for high-quality, freshly made food to work in a busy, friendly and professional environment.

Based primarily in our on-site bakery kitchen, you will play an integral role in producing a wide range of sweet and savoury baked goods for both the Café and Farm Shop. You will also work closely with the wider kitchen team when required, contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen.

Salary: £29,742 per annum

• Preparing and baking a variety of high-quality products including cakes, pastries, quiches, sweet tarts and seasonal items
• Ensuring consistently high standards of presentation, quality and freshness
• Working collaboratively with the bakery and main kitchen teams
• Maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and organisation
• Supporting the development of new and seasonal baked products

• Previous baking experience is desirable, although full training will be provided
• A strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail
• Creative, enthusiastic and passionate about producing high-quality food
• Reliable, well organised and able to work effectively as part of a team
• A basic understanding of food hygiene and safety (further training provided)

This role includes weekend working as part of a rota within a busy and welcoming team.
