As part of our ambitious growth strategy, we are now taking the exciting step of appointing a dedicated Brand Manager for JB Weld to unlock the brand's full potential.

J‑B Weld is one of the world's leading manufacturers of adhesives, sealants, and repair compounds, trusted by professionals and DIY enthusiasts for over 55 years with the brand being available at over 90,000 locations in the USA. Known for their "World's Strongest Bond" commitment, J‑B Weld has tremendous untapped potential in the UK market, particularly in the DIY sector, and we're seeking a dynamic Brand Manager to drive aggressive growth across both automotive and DIY sectors.

Summary

JRP Distribution Ltd is seeking an experienced Brand Manager with proven success to accelerate JB Weld's growth trajectory in the UK market. Building on our successful 7‑year partnership since 2018, this role combines strategic brand development with strategic sales execution. While our automotive sales team has achieved strong results, significant untapped potential remains in this sector. More critically, the DIY market represents a massive opportunity that we are determined to capture aggressively.

The successful candidate will drive exponential growth across both sectors through our established distribution network and proven market expertise.

Key Responsibilities Brand Development & Strategy
  • Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategy for JB Weld in the UK market through JRP Distribution's network
  • Collaborate closely with both JRP Distribution leadership and the JB Weld US headquarters team to align brand values, messaging, and vision
  • Leverage JRP Distribution's established market presence and relationships to accelerate JB Weld brand growth
  • Create localised marketing campaigns that resonate with UK consumers while maintaining global brand consistency
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to inform strategic decisions
  • Establish JB Weld as the go-to brand for both professional automotive applications and DIY repairs
  • Manage and report on JB Weld brand P&L
  • Collaborate with our proven automotive sales team to unlock remaining potential and drive market share growth beyond current achievements
  • Spearhead aggressive expansion into the DIY sector - our primary growth target with massive untapped potential
  • Develop comprehensive DIY market strategy including major retail chains, independent retailers, and online channels
  • Leverage JRP's 7 years of JB Weld experience and market intelligence to accelerate growth in both sectors
  • Build on existing relationships with key retailers, distributors, and trade partners while aggressively pursuing new opportunities
  • Identify and pursue emerging market opportunities across both automotive aftermarket and consumer DIY segments
  • Drive ambitious sales targets through strategic planning and relentless tactical execution
  • Lead and mentor existing sales personnel in brand positioning and value proposition delivery
  • Build and potentially expand the UK team to support DIY market development
  • Foster a high‑performance culture aligned with JB Weld's values and commitment to excellence
  • Provide training and support to ensure team members can effectively represent the brand
  • Drive aggressive market penetration in the untapped DIY consumer segment
  • Develop comprehensive go‑to‑market strategies that capitalize on 7 years of market learning and relationship building
  • Create customer acquisition programmes targeting both additional B2B automotive customers and the massive B2C DIY opportunity
  • Build strategic partnerships that enhance brand visibility across both established automotive channels and new DIY markets
  • Establish dominant JB Weld presence at key trade shows, exhibitions, and consumer‑facing DIY events
Experience & Background
