Detailed OverviewUnder the general supervision of the Chief Paramedical of Respiratory Services, performs pulmonary function, methacholine challenge and cardiopulmonary stress procedures. Assists with the maintenance and quality control of equipment and completes documentation as required.
ResponsibilitiesEducation and Experience
Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care credentialing exam. Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT). Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Level
C. One year's recent related experience in an accredited level three pulmonary function lab.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
